After what happened in the Dead Zone, hearing about a fog and some kind of creature roaming around sounds like a bad combination.

[ye~ah he's not far enough along in his monster hunting training to brave this]

I agree. Do you have any information more useful than commentary on how dangerous it seems, or should I ignore you?

Has someone found out if it's like the thing we saw in the Dead Zone?

Not for certain, but this person [arrow up to Alucard's thread] seems to think it's an ancient pagan god from Earth.

Really...? I'm not familiar with the story he's talking about. I can get to work researching that angle.

Sounds like a good plan. Let me know if there's anything useful in it. [yay, a magical research person.]

I've got something. He's referring to Celtic folklore. There's an agricultural god of the earth called Crom Cruaich, or "the crooked one on the hill". St. Patrick is a well-known saint who preached in Ireland. So when he converted the Irish to Christianity, in a way he was destroying those pagan gods.

It wouldn't surprise me if the castle had the power to pull gods from different cultures in, along with the people.

No indeed, I'm pretty sure it does. [If it can bring the Endless...]

I think we're looking for something a little more immediate than converting its worshippers, though, especially since I doubt it has many here.

I didn't read anything about him that seemed dangerous, but the Irish believed in magic and fairies, so maybe it has something to do with that...

Try looking from that angle, then, see if anything useful comes up. If not, we'll have to go with the ideas we have so far.

No problem. [any excuse to learn about more magic, pffft]
