[Lindsey tended to keep his journal closed while he was practicing his guitar, but now with it drying up outside he's found his way back into the now lush garden and pulled up a bench with his guitar while he played by himself

terribly late but... dis okay?

[it was wonderful to have nice weather back. So wonderful that she just couldn't bear to stay cooped up in her room all day, even though she really needed to get more painting done. A dozen posters was a tall order.

Still, a little break couldn't hurt, so a very paintspeckled artist finally made her way out onto the castle grounds to enjoy the fresh air. The music caught her attention, of course, and she follows it... but she stops when she sees who's playing, just standing back and listening, not wanting to disturb him]

[he kept playing until the blisters on his fingers begged for a break and he stopped and looked around, then saw her and smiled.]

How long have you been standing there spying on me?

[tehoniongirl]

[grins] I wouldn't be a very good spy if I told you that, now would I?

[evilhandissue]

Unless you were trying to throw me off track.

[he moves over a bit]

There's room for both of us if you want to sit.

[tehoniongirl]

Well, then you wouldn't be able to trust anything I said.

[hesitates...but... why not? She'll join him with a smile, crossing her legs under her as she leans back against one of the bench's arms]

I always liked "Fortunate Son."

[evilhandissue]

Me too. I'm also big into Skynard but it's not the same without a full band.

[he put the guitar down and just leaned forward, arms crossed on legs]

How have you been? In the few days since we last talked.

[tehoniongirl]

I've been... good. [a smile as she realizes it's true. Things have finally settled]

I'm back to painting, I don't think I'm someone else, and my friends are alright. This is good.

[head tilt] How about you?

[evilhandissue]

Well, that's good on all accounts.

[he thinks on his answer a moment, then gives a small shrug]

I'm doing about the same. Fingers are killing me because I haven't played in awhile so they are out of shape.

[tehoniongirl]

You'll have to ease back into it. There shouldn't be a rush. Time's standing still, after all.

[evilhandissue]

Yeah, but I can't play some of the more complex songs until I can get the chords held down. Then I'll treat you to a good six minutes of "Freebird".

[tehoniongirl]

[a grin] I'll look forward to it.

[head tilt] So, Mr. Lawyer. Between mastering the guitar, babysitting ducklings and championing for the unfortunate, what do you do with your time.

[evilhandissue]

[he can't help but smile and laugh at that]

I read. I tend to be a bit of a nerd sometimes. I like knowing as much about things as I can.

[tehoniongirl]

Nothing wrong with that. I love books. Next to art, it's my great escape.

Anything specific that you like to read about?

[evilhandissue]

[he rubs the back of his neck at that]

I've been interested in mythology and ancient religions lately.

[tehoniongirl]

Those can be fascinating.

I always loved myths and fairy tales. I loved the magic in them. [a smile] Now we're practically living in one.

[evilhandissue]

I tend to run into a lot of it in my life. Just wish I could take it all back with me.

[chuckles] I keep thinking that maybe it'll get tucked in some little part of my brain and some shaman or something will be able to open it up again.
