Must be really boring if you don't have holidays every month or so.

It really depends on what you do in your daily life.

It's all about having paid holidays and a break in the routine, I'm telling you.

Thing is, if I took a holiday, I'd never get paid.

That's the main perk of working for the government. You get paid to do nothing once in a while.

It does sound pretty appealing, but I think I prefer being my own boss.

Also not a bad deal, as long as you get to take your own breaks.

Of course! After a pretty big job or two, I've got plenty of time and resources to kick back.

Course, in this place it's vacation all the time.

At this point, a vacation's the last thing I need. I actually sort of miss the hazards of home...

I can't say yes without sounding all cheesy and cliched, can I?

[She chuckles a bit.] We only really traveled together when the Empire and Republic were on the brink of war. Had to get the prince back to the capital city to let people know he was still alive.

So it was more people-caused threats, then? Your Empire and your Republic?

Yeah, pretty much. Zoids were used by both sides, so things were pretty tense for a while.

It used to be like that with us - lot of the Outer Planets didn't want anything to do with a centralized government or Earth. But that was before there was an outside threat.
