[Sounds of crashing waves and the yelling of crewmen can be heard over the journal. ]

I must say that I'm not terribly put out by this experience. [He calls commands out away from the journal, starboard and other boating terms can be made out as he speaks.]

[Softly to himself.] The holodeck simply isn't going to be the same after this.

I'm a ship Captain, but of a very different kind of ship. [He's kind of hesitant, someone people here know about aliens, but he's not sure if he should be talking to everyone about space.]
