They could be. Most of the vampires where I'm from don't think of themselves as demons, though. More like humans, really.

It's also possible that they think of humans as both a highly respectable race of people with potential for great things and benefiting partnership possibilities... As well as something they need to survive.

Hmm... I'm not sure. I know one that can turn into a wolf, and one that can turn into a dragon made of golden lightning... But I haven't ever met one that can turn into a bat.
I can assure you, however, that many of them do have a love of dramatic black costumes. Capes, coats, that sort of thing.
