Beyond the city and other nearby areas, you mean?

Outside the immediate vicinity of the castle and town, yeah.

I know of at least two expeditions the year before. The earlier one, which I joined, had a fairly large number of people.

Which way did you go? How far out did you get?

East, then north, and west. Don't know the exact distance, but [some math is done in the border] I'd say it was close to 2000 km.

[ooc: I based it on this and estimated traveling times, but it might be inaccurate ;;]

That's quite a ways to travel. What all was out there?

A few landmarks, but hardly any animals beside eyeless buffaloes.

[pause] Really.

Eyeless buffaloes are hardly the strangest thing I've heard of. On Barcelona-- the planet, not the city-- there's dogs with no noses.

[no response for some time, that mental image is disturbing]

OK.

It's rather funny, actually.

Can we move back to the original topic? [has a dog familiar, doesn't want to picture it with no nose]

Right. Of course. Sorry.

Good. Thank you.

Is there anything else you can tell me about the trip and what's out there?

Maybe it was just me, but there was this [pause to think] "homing instinct" of sorts. Always knew where the castle was, even when it was out of visual range.

Landmarks-wise, you'll have to see for yourself. I remember a pier, a place like a maze, and a place like a large graveyard.

That's interesting.

I was thinking of going somewhere people hadn't gone before, hence the asking. But thank you for that.
