I've decided that my procrastinating is a good thing!

Also, I've been given a small dog as a present from a friend of mine. [more barks]Apparently, they need a lot more attention than those ( Read more... )

That sounds g- [bark]

That sounds good!

[and fifteen minutes later have Anya, with Hallie who is hyperactive and apparently SO EXCITED, plus a rather large box for York]

Hello! [is yanked, yes the dog is tiny but amazingly strong, toward you]

[He kneels down to let the dog sniff at him - he probably smells strange with all that armor and electronics on him.]

Hey, Anya! Who's this, now?

[the dog, who is ridiculously excited to see you, has been trying Anya's patience, so there's a pause before she answers]

This is Hallie. I named her after my friend Halfrek, and true to her name he is quite a hassle.

[sets his gift on the floor for a moment, it's taller than Delta!]

[York chuckles as he pats the dog's head.] I'm sure she'll calm down once she gets a little older.

[Then he straightens up.] For me?

Don't things not age in this place? I'm not sure she's going to grow up. [stern look at the dog]

Yes! [she'll shift the leash to the other hand to pick up the large box, wrapped with shiny silver paper that is printed with white snowflakes on it, and a large silver bow on top]

Merry Christmas! A few days late! [hands it to him!]

[Delta flashes on.] Although that is true of residents, it is unlikely to be consistent for natives, including animals.

[York begins tearing at the paper like a little kid.]

[tilts her head]

Huh, well, I guess we'll see. [more barking and she... might be licking your armor, York (the dog! not Anya)]

I hope you like it! [and inside that box is THIS which is perfect for you right?]

[He laughs when he makes out the words on the box, sounding delighted.]

Ha! Oh, this is great! You know I have a ton of electronics in my room. [He holds it with one arm and gives her a hug with the other.]

Thanks, Anya!

You're welcome! [she knows you have a pet and now fur is no longer an excuse]

I'm sure a ghost can take that back to your room, if you and Delta would like to go for a walk with me.

Sure thing. [And he gives a ghost instructions to do that.]

So is this little guy--err, girl--your present from the castle?

finesse_bottom December 28 2009, 21:44:08 UTC
It's a girl, and no, Captain Hammer gave it to me for Christmas.

Oh, right. The one you went to mini-golf with.

[York starts walking and Delta follows along.]

Hey, I could show you what I got while we're out. It's kind of big.

Yes, he seemed to think it was an excellent gift, but I'm not sure how added responsibility is a gift.

[she'll shrug, but she's very excited to see whatever it is that you got]

That sounds ominous.
