[Someone's gotten hungry for a little midnight snack and settled on attempting to make pancakes. He's just learned to make toast without turning the slices all into charcoal, so it hasn't been working too well. He's gotten into his head that if he tries tossing them up in the air a little to flip them they won't stick]
Oh hello. I didn't think anyone else would be down here.
[He didn't either, which is why the voice startles him mid flip. Badly enough that he lets out a yell and entirely lets go of the frying pan to whirl around. In time to see as well as hear the loud thud as it hits Merlin in the head, and the other thud as he hits the ground] Oh my god, I think I killed him...
