[It doesn't take long for Sam to figure out that something's up when Ruby doesn't come home from work when she's supposed to, and after a few filters seem to go unnoticed, he wanders out to have a look around and see if he can track her down. He started at the shooting range, than made his way over to the gentlemen's club, and Ruby's still nowhere to be found.
When he actually arrives back at their room he really looks at the door, and that's when he notices her nameplate is gone. And that was when it hit him.
About twenty minutes later, this is written in the journal:]
For those of you that knew her, Ruby's gone home.
