on thursday i sent my resume over to the US Antarctic Program
she said i have a pretty good chance, and that to increase my chances i should go to their fair in denver this march.
it was so exciting to even send in my resume!
my grandmother expressed a few concerns about going there, all of which were valid. her main one was the economy. she is afraid that i shouldnt leave a job i love in this craptacular economy because i dont know what opportunities i might or might not come back to.
its a good point, but it isnt good enough for me to not follow my dreams.
if antarctica doesnt pan out (or even if it does) i am also going to follow some other opportunities. i am also going to apply for a work visa program in western australia, to teach english in japan, and to the peace corps in africa or south america.
after that? who knows, i might just go back home to colorado
