We seem to have moved into rain season, rain season which involves lots of rain, lots of rain that pours, lots of rain that pours and comes with huge hailstones and snow and wind and the damn coldest winter I've experienced in the southern hemisphere in ages, perhaps IS the coldest winter I've ever experienced south of the equator. Either way, it's all very crap and annoying, and makes going anywhere outside the house a chore.
Either way, the group and I went kareoke-ing last night, and wow, singing is so terribly exhausting. I don't remember my choir days being quite as difficult and taxing, but possibly because that was junior choir and I was about 10 years old. Great fun though, everybody should go kareoke once in a while, if for no other reason but to scream your voice hoarse and warble badly, and come out about three times more deaf than you were when you went in.
The night was, unfortunately, semi-spoiled by the microphone muff things which we were not told to pay for, but had to anyway. I would like to know what all my charges are BEFORE I go into something, as opposed to afterwards, when the bill's getting tallied up, and random expenses start cropping up like the rules of conservation of matter just disintegrated into nothing. That and horoscopes. Being born both a Taurus and in the year of the snake does NOT a superstar make.
