(DAY NINETEEN: Cultivating Community.)

QUESTION TO CONSIDER:

How can I help to cultivate today the characteristics of real community in my small group and my church?

--------------------------

I am not truly part of a church community yet, but certaintly understanding the conflict is natural and that it's okay to disagree or have different opinions is worthwhile to keep in mind. This can be accomplished through loving, unwavering honesty. My friends and community members need to know I trust them and they acn trust me to be honest, open, and sincere at all times, even if it hurts. A functional community is never without conflict in the Utopian sense, but rather at balance aomong the different opinions and intentions of it's members. As long as we don't lose focus and stay goal-driven for the greater good, we can have a functioning, happy, healthy community.
