Family Business
One student less in my family. My cousin has dropped out of college and has gotten an apprenticeship at her great-uncle's company. The more I think about it ... It's indeed kinda special that I've gotten my degree. The other day, one of my uncles addressed his wife by saying after he had learned about my graduation, "So you have three graduates in your family now." One of them being me, another one a name I've never heard of (so I guess it's someone in her family, not in mine), and the third one being my uncle's daughter. To which my aunt replied, "Yes, once she's finished her thesis." To me that sounds as if I'm indeed the only person in my family who has so far managed to get a college degree.
It's gotta suck to start all over again. :0\ OTOH, it'll be easy for her to get a job once she's completed the apprenticeship. Easier than for me at least.
