So, my friend Will makes the most amazing copper etched notebooks. And since he's awesome, and gives me all these crazy discounts, I figured I'd try to make him some money back. SO I'M GONNA PIMP HIM TO YOU LOVELY PEOPLE.
This is the first one I got, way back in like, 2009. I was at my first SPN con, and he was the friendliest guy. So much so that I bought this, and it set me back about thirty quid xD but look how prettyyyyy *strokes it* This one isn't actually with me at the minute, it's on it's way south to be rebounded, since I filled all the pages, and need new ones putting in.
Thirty quid sounds a lot, but really, when you consider the work that goes into it, it's not all that much. I mean, he has to buy all the equipment, so the paper, the binding, the copper itself. Then he has to draw the design in backwards, carving it into the copper so it's raised up on the front. Then he has to treat it with chemicals to make it look burnished, and then he has to put the book together, which I imagine is not an easy job. Far too fiddly for me and my ham sized thumbs. So yeah, expensive, but totally worth it.
This one was actually on sale, and it's also winging it's way to get rebound. I go through a lot of notebooks.
This one is my pride and joy. Those who are SPN fans will see that it's signed by Jensen motherfucking Ackles. I met him a couple weeks ago at Asylum 6, and he was the sweetest guy. But I digress.
