Acknowledgements And Author's Note
So, I FINALLY finished my Big Bang for 2010. Barely.
The Big Bang you're reading wasn't my original Big Bang idea, or even my fifth. I went through seven separate ideas, even writing 21K of one before settling on this one. And my God it was a battle. I had the worst insomnia I've had in years writing this, but it was a lot of fun, and I'm pleased with the end result. Even if it almost didn't get posted. (I had a bit of a summary mishap which I'll talk about in a sec)
A few story notes. All the angels used in this are real angel names, from www.angels365.com, including Sitael, the name I gave Ruby. I was so NOT falling into the trap of using Rubiel, so it said on the site that one of the angels that has ruby as their gemstone was Sitael, so I used that instead. The town that Ruby ran off to in England is Durham, a little town just south of Newcastle. English people will know what I'm talking about. The rest of the world, just know that it's in the Northeast, and has the biggest ass cathedral I've ever seen.
Also, YES. I used Ruby in a postive way, because I am more than a little bit in love with Katie Cassidy, and I refuse to believe that season four Ruby was the same person as season three Ruby. RUby 2.0 annoyed me more than almost anything else on Show (apart from Jo)
Um um um. Thank you's. Obviously the biggest one has to go to skeptiik, my AMAZING artist. I mean seriously. Stop reading my rambling and go drool over the gorgeousness she made for my little story *is in awe*. More thank you's go to Laura and Mar, my beta's, cheerleaders, and general handholders through all this, and again Laura, who I've run absolutely ragged this evening (well, yesterday, when you read this) because I lost my Big Bang summary, and she traipsed through three months of MSN conversations to find the summary that I sent her. So for that I give her all my love, my soul, and my first born child.
A huge group thanks to the chatroom over at dA, the RFP cru, they've put up with six solid months of me complaining, sending draft beyond draft of my summary to them, and to sixstringphonic for metaphorically bitchslapping some sense into me when I was having my usual (and probably annual) freakout of OMG WHAT IF IT SUCKS?
And obviously the highest of high praise to the laides who organise this whole thing, wendy and highway_woman
