*Jaw Drop*/*Brain Explosion*

So I logged on-line today to do some computer stuff during my lunch break and the first thing I see when I open my browser is "Deathly Hallows Cover Art Realease!" (My homepage is www.mugglenet.com)

My mind just stopped and I sat there in shock for about a minute thinking that something was wrong 'cause it's just too soon for that. After all, I did stay up all last night studying for a test--surely it was the lack of sleep. But nope, sure enough, under that title was just a smidge of color indicating that the cover art was a mere scroll away.

Then I was overwhelmed by the thought "I can't look." There's something so final about having the cover art done and released. Not only do you have to accept the fact that there are people in this world who have actually already read the book (like the artist--Mary Grandpre) but that its done editing and ready to be printed to the masses. I'm just still not ready to accept that it's going to be over.

Anyway, to make a long story somewhat short. It took me an hour before I gathered the courage to look. AN HOUR! How the heck am I going to read this thing if I don't have the courage to look at the cover art?! I'm gonna start bawling the moment the stupid thing enters my hands. *sigh*

My little drama aside, the actual artwork was very different from what I thought. I was expecting something dark and moody (who doesn't when its called 'Deathly Hallows'?) but its all orange and positive. Even the British (children's edition) is all bright and "fun." Then there's the fact that you get a certain amount of information from the drawings themselves (and summaries) on what's going to be happening. I'd wager that from the American version I know approximately 95% of what's going on in the picture. Being the obsessive fan that I am, it took me all of minute to figure out where Harry actually is. The British version is slightly more elusive but I have a strong educated guess for that one too. (Don't worry I won't say my theories unless people want to hear them--I'm quite often spot-on in my predictions in these kinds of things to the eternal annoyance of my brother.)

Anyway I just had to get my excitement out as well as my desire to share the news. Everyone who reads this should go to either mugglenet or leakynews.com to check out the full pics. (As opposed to my 5 second avatar.) As for myself I'm going straight to bed because everything is getting kinda fuzzy...
