I know what you mean. The villain got to do whatever he wanted, but suddenly, the heroes have to end themselves just to come out somewhat behind in the end instead of just completely screwed.
I almost feel like CLAMP just lost all drive with Tsubasa back about 15 or chapters. And the whole, "I am my own father/origin" with the clones was a m!ndf$ck in and of itself.
If you want, I can find the CLAMP offices in Japan and give the building the finger for you. :)
