I'm weak and I WANT it
So I kinda accidently spent all night cosplay searching, and I decided that I REALLY, REALLY want to cosplay Orihime from Bleach (even though I really shouldn't because I'm supposed to be saving money, not spending it). The good news is that I found a really high quality pre-made costume and wig so that I could still devote all my cosplaying time to Sakura. The bad news is that my perfectionist tastes has me pushing for the more expensive version of the costume which would set me back about $250. Now realistically, I shouldn't be considering this at all, but in Megan's fantasyland it's ideal because that's about as much as I would probably spend making the costume itself, without all the horrible work time and cursing that cosplay usually involves. It's also quite evident that Sakura is still in the "needs major work and commitment" category and I don't think I'll have the time or the will power to make my Wa-loli dress as well (which deeply saddens me). But, anyway, I only get to go to A-kon once a year and I really want two costumes. I also don't want to be Gaara or Princess Serenity again because of ichty eye make-up and/or wardrobe malfunction-proned dress. And I hate to throw this in there, but it's my BIRTHDAY and I WANT it. (Yes, I am being a spoiled, selfish baby, so what.)
Honestly, I have three other, cheaper choices than Orihime, but I'm throwing this out there to get an opinion poll, which may or may not affect my decision for this.
First off this is the costume I want and this is the wig. (And here's a reference pic and a chibi.)
The second choice is this nice, cheap Fruits Basket costume for Tohru, plus wig.
Third choice is a perfect Super Sailor Moon oufit but I'd have to buy boots, the broaches, and a wig that I'd have to style myself.
Lastly, I'm kinda considering Tifa from Advent Children b/c I'd liked to be a kickass chick for once, but I don't know for sure. Here's a costume for her and a wig.
I don't know. I've still got time to think about it. >A<
