Vegas is in my future and so is the video contest...

First of all I made the plunge and will be going to Las Vegas to visit both the city and Creation's Star Trek Convention that is held there every year. It's pretty much their biggest con all year. I'm excited. :)

I also randomly decided that since I'm going I might as well enter their video contest. Of course I have nothing new, so I had to make something to enter. Plus the deadline is July 20th. Go figure. It's a Sunday. Does that make sense to anyone?

Well I pondered what to do. I've had a couple of ideas in my head, but haven't actually made videos for them. I eventually decided to try the one that would likely be less complicated and serious.

Well I have to say that I'm pretty surprised at myself. I started the video on Monday night and finished it this afternoon, editing off and on, mostly in the evenings except for Tuesday where I edited off and on throughout the day and evening. Prior to editing I had to install all the software ect. Premiere Pro is cool, but I don't think it likes Vista very much. Still even when it craps out it is stil better than Premiere 6. I had most of the footage on the computer already, so at least I didn't have to deal with that.

Still though... 4 days???  I am the slowest fanvid maker on the planet and I managed to get something that is presentable in 4 days? Granted it isn't the most compex video in the world, but I usually tend to get stuck for ages. I think having a relatively fast program helped even if it crashed a lot. When you cut down on render time it has to make a difference.

So I mailed out the video to Creation overnight express mail this afternoon. LOL. Yeah, I paid extra to send it because as of last night I had decided that I probably stood an OK chance at winning so I couldn't just not enter this competition, expecially when I was so close to being done.

So, I guess soon I will be adding a link to my version of "Miss Independent" by Kelly Clarkson. LOL. It's an Enterprise T'pol and Trip video adn for the most part it's supposed to be fun. :)  And I never thought I'd make another one of those after my last one. Never say never, I guess. ;)

conventions, trip/t'pol, star trek, music videos, las vegas, fanvids, enterprise, video contest
