Fics Pending
So I was looking through my in-progress folder the other day and I came to the sudden realization that apart from challenges and prompts, I have close to 20 fics (18 to be exact) of my own that are all half-done. The trouble is, I dont know which one to pick up and finish first, because well, as the author, I love them all equally.
This is where I'm hoping my f-list/readers can help me out.
I'm going to post little summaries of each fic below, and if you happen to see a particular one (or two or three) that interests you, leave a comment and tell me to finish writing the damn thing. I have almost 90 people on mutual friends alone, so I hope to get SOME kind of response.
At the end of the weekend, I'll shortlist the 10 most asked for into a poll and provide a paragraph from each to further narrow it down. Let's start with step one though, shall we...
1. post-86 Movie. Many were devastated by the loss of close friends and comrades, and none more so than Jazz. Ever since being rescued from Unicron, the mech has been shutting himself further and further away from everyone. Only Springer's noticed that all is not right with the saboteur though, and it's up to him to bring Jazz back... but is it simply depression that's affecting Jazz, or something else? (non-slash, tragedy, supernatural).
2. post-86 Movie. Segregated on Cybertron away from Sideswipe and under Rodimus Prime, Sunstreaker's put in charge of a group of refugees from Paradron. Together with Outback, it's upto the two of them to get the civilian pacifists in battle-ready shape before the next attack on the planet. It cant be that hard to whip a group of bots into shape... can it? (non-slash, drama-comedy, friendship).
3. Really Bad Eggs sequel. Set between 'Curse of the Black Pearl' and 'Dead Man's Chest', remember that hurricane? Captain Jack does too, 'cause it tosses him into a strange new world where he meets some very old friends. Can Prowl handle a pirate in the Ark without blowing a few logic chips? (non-slash, drama, comedy, adventure).
4. pre-Earth. "Dancer"... A long time ago, Tracks met a mech who left a lasting impression on him. Little did he think they would ever meet again over 4 million years later. (slash, romance, maybe a little dark).
5. Join Autobot bounty hunter Devcon as he goes after a band of space pirates in an attempt to find the Decepticon who betrayed him millenia ago. Can Mirage reach him before he takes on more than he can handle? (non-slash, adventure, drama).
6. Jazz, Prowl, Sideswipe and Sunstreaker discover the Decepticons' latest WMD of the week, but nature intervenes, turning the four Autobots into man's best friends... or are they? Can they make it back to the Ark before the Cons find them and take them out? (non-slash, adventure).
7. post-86 Movie. Mirage is abducted by a group of beings, but he's not their main target. Can Jazz rescue him before they come for him as well? And can Bumblebee and Grimlock find a way to get to them before the aliens do? (slightly dark, mature themes though not necessarily slash, drama, adventure).
8. Hound feels the Ark's been invaded by the Cassetticons one time too many, and with Hoist's help, sets out to build a guardian who can take them on. He gets a little inspiration from the African savannah. Features an OC, Hackle. (non-slash, drama, friendship).
9. Set in the Dreamwave Vol 3 comic-verse, Marissa Faireborn cant seem to get that black and white mech out of her mind, but she wonders if he ever had feelings for her. For all she knew, Jazz only saw her as a business partner and teammate. And how does a human love a robot anyway? (maybe het, romance, drama).
10. 07 Movie. "Glove Compartment"... How did Maggie's lipstick end up in Jazz's glove compartment? Sometimes its not so easy being an expert hacker, especially when home's so far away. (non-slash, friendship)
11. When Sideswipe and Sunstreaker get lost one rainy evening, they run into a small group of streetwalkers. Curious about what makes these young women do the job they do, the Twins start hanging out with them, and soon learn to see past certain stereotypes. (non-slash, drama, certain mature issues).
12. Sunstreaker and Optimus Prime dont always see optic-to-optic, but can they put aside their differences when a Decepticon attack leaves them stranded in the countryside, with Sunstreaker wounded. (not exactly slash, drama, friendship).
13. How do you spice up a relationship when the honeymoon period is over, dead and buried? Prowl finds a way with the aid of some contraband that leaves Jazz just a little hung up. (good ol' PJ slash, romance, a bit of kink).
14. 07 Movie. "Blues and the Bees". How Jazz met Bumblebee and of their early times together at the Autobot War Academy. Jazz needs to convince Bee that not everyone at the Academy is out to be his friend, and that he needs to trust him. But why should Bee trust him when Jazz looks to be leaving. (minor and hinted slash, friendship, drama).
15. 07 Movie. Sam and Mikaela have to attend a wedding down in Mexico and Jazz and Bee offer to drive them. You know what they say, its not the destination, but the journey you take to get there. And will Sam finally realize that Jazz and Bee are quite more than friends? (mild slash, friendship)
16. So why does Jazz wear that visor, and are his optics really faulty? Prowl gets a chance to find out when the two of them have to infiltrate the Nemesis and sabotage the newest Decepticon attack plan. (slash, adventure, drama, romance)
17. 07 Movie. They thought Jazz was dead... some of the remnants of Sector 7 had other ideas. Can Simmons help the Autobots find Jazz, and can Bumblebee keep his closest friend from going mad after his resurrection? (slash if you look for it, friendship, drama).
18. sequel to "New Beginnings". What if relationships between officers and soldiers were frowned upon, especially between and officer and a soldier under his direct command. Prowl and Sunstreaker need to keep their newly formed relationship under wraps, but they never reckoned with Sideswipe's tenacity. (slash, romance, drama, friendship).
