Well he said it out loud and don't I feel stupid.
Silly me, thinking I'd capture his attention through a silly little monologue.
Perhaps, for a moment, I thought that I had.
How about for a whole week.
But then...
He spoke, and complained of certain monologues being too personal.
"I didn't want you," he said.
"I wanted a character."
And while it wasn't directed specifically at me, I knew what he was getting at.
It think I made him uncomfortable.
I wanted that.
He didn't.
