Out of the House

We rarely watch movies in theatre nowadays, and I managed to pull Odi away from AoC and out this last weekend for a lunch/movie thing. We thought about watching Sex and the City, but I gave a few suggestions to Odi and he said we should watch the movie that we probably wouldn't remember about later, so we ended up watching The Happening. I have pretty low expectations when it comes to movies, but...

Seriously, don't bother unless you really want to pay 10+ bucks to see how many ways people can suicide out of the blues. The idea is good and the beginning and end were interesting, but everything else in between was kinda boring. Of course, I didn't watch half of the movies when I made Odi cover up my eyes for the various gross scenes. I guess I just don't agree that "losing self-preservation instincts" is the same as "dropping everything and suicide by all means" and some of those scenes are excessive. The whole thing just doesn't seem very realistic, from how the trigger works to how unconcerned the world seems to be 3 months after the incident.

On an unrelated note, here are a few things I'm checking out (and putting links here for my own use):
GreenDimes, junk mail op-out
Planet Organics, grocery delivery
Sunshine Concentrate

random, shopping, rant
