so last weekend we were in Pittsburgh. my novice eight boat made it to finals and we took third place against some tough competition. it was our first medal, for most novice. they also put me in a four man boat,,AS THE STROKE. which is scary because that means i lead the people behind me, plus fours are really hard to set up and i hadnever led a four before...in culver when i raced in a four i got last. in our heat, for my four, we got first by like four boat lengths...it was so exciting...we made finals...we didn't place in the finals but the fact that we got there was amazing. when i told my friends about my medal most of them just started talking about their weekend so i just stopped telling people....
next weekend we will be in Cincinnati.... there are more than fifty schools in this regatta and it's gonna be huge. in the heats there will be like 33 boats...and each heat will have atleast 6 boats...then they prolly take the top three from each heat..or top two....and have a semi-final....and then take the top boats there to a final. in which the top 2 or 3 will get medals... i don't plan on getting medals in cincinnati...but i didn't plan on getting one in pittsburgh either...
only 20 days of school left....
