[He's sitting cross-legged under a leafy tree, long sleeves rolled up past his elbows; his shoes and hat are sitting next to him on the ground; he's still wearing his name tag. There's a rather large smiley face carved into the bark of the tree.]
So it's a little hot. I still don't see any reason to go running to a clinic with my tail between my legs.
[He stops. Frowns.]
Um. If I had a tail. Which I don't. Because I'm not a monkey.

Apparently the stream has dried up? But someone on the network mentioned groundwater, and I might try digging around here - I mean, this tree seems to be doing just fine.
[he pans the pcd up to show the leafy bows - strangely enough, the tree seems to be bursting through the roof of a building; he brings the camera back to his face and tries his best "friendly" smile - it might be the heat, but he's not doing a very good job with it.]
Just, um, be safe with your choices in this heat kids, heat stroke feels a bit like being kicked in the stomach by a twelve year old. Twice. [he lowers his voice] Trust me on this one.

Sorry if I'm being a little snippy with anyone, I'm aware of the fact that I don't exactly react well to change; this is nothing new. And this weather's not helping matters any either. "a little sun" was probably an exaggeration. Or, um, whatever the term would be. Sorry.
I'll definitely come around soon, thanks, but I think I'll wait until this weird heatwave is over first - I think I remember alcohol being one of those things you really shouldn't have when water's scarce?
