today didnt start well
my monitor is fried!!!!
i woke up this morning to find that after i had turned it on, it was still blank and making an odd ticking noise. i was not amused. so to try to make this not good thing better, i tried everything i could think of to fix it, including punching it, swearing at it and threatening it with a flight out the window of my fourth story room. hey, all these things work at home when that computer isnt working right. but this monitor is a stubborn bitch and has decided that now is a good time to die.
so, with the help of the great and all knowing steve, we took the monitor apart tonight to see what the problem was. it was actually rather fun. like an autopsy of sorts. hey, it made me feel like i was winning so thats all that matter. i had to beat the machine. so anyway, steve finally found the problem to be a blown transformer....the diagnosis? negative. my monitor is toast and theres nothing i can do with my computer until sunday at which point the punk that built that piece of shit computer will bring me another hand me down monitor. good times yet again. im in computer withdrawal. more than that, im in solitare withdrawal and im beginning to get the shakes.
so thats that. my drama for the day. ha. yeah. and this means that ill be coming to the infocommons some more so i can have access to a computer. dammit i hate this place. lata.
