so i went to give blood on sunday at the big donation drive at fenway park for 9-11. I waited for three hours till i finally got up to talk to the technician. she started the process like normal and did a finger prick to check my blood for iron levels. well i got denied because instead of my iron level being something like 35%, it was 28%. so she

but didnt you get a tattoo less than a year ago? that alone makes you ineligable to donate blood for at least a year

actually the tattoo was last july so im well over the year long wait. and i actually put off getting another for the ability to donate blood and because i didnt have the money at the end of august.

but thanks for the well wishes, i am for now ok. just being extremely careful about physical activity and caffeine levels. but i should be good as new in a week or so.
