Impressions of Athens and UGA so far...

+ I definitely missed my South. People holding doors for you and saying "Thank you" when you hold it for them is a refreshing feeling.

+ And somehow I automatically drive the speed limit instead of having to go 15 over just to keep with the flow of traffic. (Mind you, I know Atlanta is another ballgame)

+ The UGA Campus reminds me of... well, no other campus I've been on before, really. It's quite picturesque... and quite large too. Looking around the campus will tell you why it's considered a Public Ivy.

+ I actually got the chance to meet some of the professors in my department today. She was very welcoming to both me and Amy. I also got a lot of information about registration that I hadn't known before, which can actually help a lot once that time comes. (Had never heard of "ghost credits" before.)

+ Downtown Athens has downtown Blacksburg beat by about four miles. Meaning: the downtown scene is a lot more than just one-and-a-half miles of Main Street (sorry, Bburg). And it's actually a lot busier than I expected it to be.

+ Amy enjoys the springtime weather. 84 and sunny when we were out and about. I warned her about those GA summers though... lol

Impressions of the areas between Athens and Atlanta (specifically, Walton County) tomorrow.
