Why hasn't anyone commented yet? I'm reading this and enjoying it a lot so far. I think Zuko/Aang is such an under-appreciated pairing, and you're doing a good job or exploring Aang's later years.

Thank you! I see Zuko/Aang as really underappreciated as well, so I'm pretty excited to add my own ideas to the mix. The older Aang featured in the Legend of Korra flashbacks fascinates me, and the 70-year gap between ATLA and Korra has so much potential for vaguely canon-compliant slash.

I'm so excited for this fic! I really need more Zuko/Aang in my life and it was such a nice surprise to see such a well-written fic pop up for this pairing. I think you've done a great job capturing everyone's future personalities. I was a little surprised that Aang was so upfront about his feelings, but he is a pretty honest dude. I'm looking forward to finding out what happens! On to the next chapter!

Thanks! The plot bunny springing into my head was a nice surprise as well.

To me, one of the greatest traits about Aang is his earnestness, which I think would translate to straightforward honesty in his later years, especially when it comes to his loved ones - although, as this fic will explore, it often wars with his fear of hurting them.

AAAAHH!! MY TWO FAVOURITE AVATAR PAIRINGS ALL IN ONE!!

Ahem. It's interesting for fic to be written so late in Aang's life. I'm pretty sure this is the first Korra verse Zukaang fic I've ever read, and I've read almost every Zukaang fic I've ever found. It seems like such an Aang thing to ask for his son's blessing, and I've got to admit that Tenzin being Zuko's favourite is pretty adorable.

Whyyyyyyyyy didn't Linzin last?? That ship needs more fics too. TT^TT

Haha, yeah, this fic pretty much came about because I was craving Korra-verse Zukaang fanfiction and could not find any. Tenzin being Zuko's favorite seemed to make the most sense, considering his siblings are supposed to have been pretty crazy as kids, and I can't imagine Zuko being able to handle that, especially coupled with resent about them being Aang's kids with Katara. And I didn't even mean to tuck that Linzin bit in there; it just kinda wrote itself and I liked how it gave more depth and meaning to Tenzin's blessing. But I'm glad you enjoyed it!
