Wow, this was an excellent story! Thank you for sharing. I loved the humour you injected into this as well. The pacing was perfect and had me thinking "Go Clark go! You can do it!"

Thank you! I was afraid it felt contrived and rushed, so I'm glad the pacing worked for you. :)

Oh, my! What a wonderful story! I loved the way you worked in The Art Of War, because after all, how else could one win the Bat? :)

Clark is patient, persistent, and purely worth it! *laughs*

I enjoyed his conversations with Diana, Alfred, and Dick. Doesn't hurt to get some back-up, eh? ;)

Beautiful ending! Bruce needing to speak to Clark after the fear toxin...nicely done! :)

As I was pondering the prompts, I saw this one and thought that if anything's going to be like fighting a war, it's going to be wooing the Bat's heart! And I am of the firm opinion that only Clark would have the patience and persistence necessary to win Bruce over, once and for all.

I'm glad you liked it! Thanks for reading! :)

That was absolutely lovely. What a fantastic story. I actually caught myself holding my breathe in anticipation of what was going to happen. That usually only happens when I read action/angst filled fics.

Yay, I'm so excited that the suspense got to you! I found myself feeling the same as the boys decided to take control of my plot. Thank you for your kind comments!

I love this story. I was sitting there saying. Yay Clark! Get him! Excellent use of the Art of War. Reading this fic makes me want to read the book. I've been meaning to for a while too.

Art of War is available for free download, if you want to read. It's the phrases from above, and you think about them and develop them into strategies relevant to every battle. Why do I tell you this? Because having read the book and the above story, I can tell you papervanity has done that most excellently! I don't imagine Sunzi ever thought of it being used in courtship, but it very believable works for these guys!

Most perfectly done, Papervanity!

Thank you! Haha, I don't think he did either, but hey, half of the fun of writing this was coming up with the right scenarios for the right phrases. ;)
