I am done...
so, Corvy's AC went out last fall toward the end of September. I didn't do anything about it cuz, well, it was the end of September and I wasn't gonna need the AC any time soon. also, I figured more than likely she was just out of freon which is a relatively cheap fix and we were bound to be in a better financial situation by the time summer rolled around again, right? *smirk* fast-forward 7+ months, and we are if anything even more broke. debboamerik is still trying to find a Real Job (tm), I was out of work for four months, Nikki got sick, Corvy needed a new alternator, and of course the AC trouble isn't the freon, it's the compressor. to the tune of $1600. which even the mechanic agreed with me wasn't worth it; at that price I'd be better off buying a new (used) car. which I can't actually afford, but neither can I afford to get a new compressor.
