Endurance is one of the most difficult disciplines, but it is to the one who endures that the final victory comes. - Buddha

I wouldn't be surprised if someday some fishermen caught a big shark and cut it open, and there inside was a whole person. Then they cut the person open, and in him is a little baby shark. And in the baby shark there isn't a person, because it would be too small. But there's a little doll or something, like a Johnny Combat little toy guy---something like that.

I'm bored at work. Have no clients for an hour or so, David's here but he won't alleviate any of the stress of the end of tax season. He'll just pawn all the client's off on me with the intention of not having to do anything, lovely guy. He's either far too timid to do a return or he's lazy, I don't know.

I'm tired today, for some inexplicable reason. Didn't take my pill last night, which makes me a wee bit anxious today. Especially being so close to the end of the season I need to keep my head clear. It would quite horrible to screw up someone's return because I was thinking about nothing but Halle. Can't seem to keep her off my mind today, read in the paper Kurt Vonnegut died the other day. He always reminds me of Halle, she's the one who introduced me to him. One of the best writer's I've ever read.

So I leave this post with nothing else to say, so I'll take a line from American History X and enter a quote at the end. Lame I know.

Like so many Americans, she was trying to construct a life that made sense from things she found in gift shops.
