It occurred to me that to Bunny, my picking him up from his cage must be like an alien abduction. It's usually to poke him, give him strange things he's never seen (like cornbread), or administer medication. Sometimes when I release him back to the cage, it's fresh and tidy and exactly arranged like it had been a week before...did he just lose time? The best part is that his watch tower is a flat cylinder hovering above his cage, which is only accessible through a tunnel of bright colors. He pokes his nose into the vent holes and senses me coming. He freezes and sniffs the air. He's got a hunch.
I'm making travel plans for my week in Hawaii next month. It won't be frivolous to stay in a nice hotel - there's a discount through the conference so an ocean view room is only $70/night! It sounds so luxurious and like a relaxing or romantic vaction, but -- I'm going with my ex-boss.
