It's not like I'm there seven days a week bending over backwards for people. I only work four days a week, but I RARELY request a day off. Chris was calling me selfish because he thought I was trying to go on a vacation, but Breitenbush isn't a resort. It's like a spiritual retreat, which is something I've been meaning to do for a while now. I'm getting way too stressed out by work and my family and money and the looming horror that is college.

I have a real vacation coming up in a couple of weeks. I'm going to NYC on April 11th, but I had to request that time off two months ago to make sure it would get covered. And I do have tomorrow off. I was going to need today and tomorrow, so I called a girl who is on spring break but she's out of town today so she could only cover tomorrow for me. I'm still going to have her cover it, since I went through all this shit. I definitely don't feel like working.

I did get to talk to my manager today. I told ehr that I'd called nine people and I'd been trying to get my shift covered since last Wednesday, which is all true. She said that was ridiculous and she would put a note in the next employee letter to tell people they should be fair to their coworkers. It won't be specific, but she knows I deserve some time off.
