Laze-assery
I couldn't seem to get my butt gearshifted into WORK MODE this week. If this was actually a work week, nobody seemed to know it. But tomorrow I'd better get back to damn work or (all the usual elses) ELSE.
I am paying more attention to typography these days- which is sort of like being a diamond cutter. It's all geometry and facets and extreme anal-retentiveness. Most uber-typographers I've met are CRAZY. I could tell stories but eh, not in work mode. They can argue for hours on the aesthetic value of the little curly thing on the 'g'. It has a technical name. I won't sully you guys with it. Typography makes biology look light on the terminology. And in biology, there was a name for every little green fuzzy whatsit in the goopy thingie.
I am doing CoH. Right now, that means page-drawing, since I've made the story make sense. It's a mystery plot. Whee. I've concluded that since both protagonist angels are control freaks, they will happily EXPLAIN WHY THEY ARE RIGHT and the other one is wrong, and in doing so quickly inform the audience of the parameters of the thingie in question. I THINK IT WILL WORK ANYWAY. In Star Trek, there were mysteries of whatsits getting into the thingie, and Geordi would just be all like 'Captain, whatsits CAN'T GET INTO THE THINGIE BECAUSE OF TECHBABBLE.'
And the viewers are like. 'Okay. I understand.'
So NOT A BIG DEAL.
Most of the Heaven thingies are pretty easy to understand just as long as you don't ask WHY. For instance: Heaven is overwhelmingly blue. When you look at it and see a lot of blue and a blue cast to the sky and trees and everything- hey, all is well. Easy to remember. But do you wanna know why blue = normal in Heaven? Well, you don't have to know to understand why a greenish tinge to Heaven is making Control Freak Angel freak the hell out because SOMETHING IS NOT RIGHT HERE.
(For the record: color in heaven is frequency and blue is just the 'optimal' frequency. Cobalt sets the energy balance and he's blue so the rest pretty much follows from that. But you don't need to know that!)
Anyway, I feel okay but I am soooo still in lazy vacation mode and I need to get shocked back into crazy work mode sooo fast here.
I'd list all the projects on the table right now but eh, it's a sunday morning and who wants to do all that typing?
