(no subject)
This morning I woke up to find that Jeff had given Lydia a fudgecicle. At 8:30 am. She was covered in chocolate, and I mean seriously covered. She had it in her hair, her eyebrows, in her nose, all over her body and all over one of my favorite onsies :| Needless to say I was not happy. Not happy at all. I asked Jeff WHY he would give her a fudgecicle and he said I have done it too, uhhh, no, I give her stuff like that after a nap maybe, when she is sedated enough still to sit down quietly and eat it. So I got to take a shower with Screamy McGee, who does not like showers at all.
While we were in the shower Pete called, and sadly enough his ex father in law had commited suiced last night, so of course he cant watch Lydia. His kids are all coming in for the funeral and he has to be there for them. Poor guy had cancer, and wasnt doing well at all. He had been in and out of the hospital several times these past few months so I guess he just couldnt take it anymore :( So thats how the morning started, with news of a sad death and a cranky, screaming toddler.
But, I decided to take her with me to Wallies and get the baskets. We stopped at the play ground on the way and she had a blast sliding and swinging and climbing. When we left she didnt even tear up once, and s got on the path to the car and had me cracking up. I dont know about other toddlers, but Lydia runs like this:
She will be walking along normally and then bam! Off she goes like a frill necked lizard lol.
So yeah, we got all the basket stuffs, and she fell asleep as soon as we got home and I made up FOUR baskets. Jeff got a dark chocolate basket, and the kids just got regular stuff with all the cheesy toys and candy. I guess when she wakes up I will take her outside to play for awhile before dinner. I rented Charlottes Web and hope to watch it tonight when Jeff gets home. He doesnt seem too thrilled by that idea, but I like sitting down to watch a movie together so he will just have to get over it. :P Besides, its due back Thursday!
OK, off to clean a bit before wee butt wakes up.
