Let The Games Begin!

Its crunch week. My baby girl will be a whole 2 years old in less than a week, and keeping busy is going to keep me from blubbering like an idiot. Jeff played "her song" the other day and I had tears in my eyes. I am pathetic I tell you.

So yesterday I took Tanya out to Red Lobster and then we did some shopping at WalMart. We had a good time! It was nice to get out without the kids and to have a relaxing meal with chatter and gossip :D  When I got home it wasnt too long before wee butts bath and then bedtime. After we got her tucked in I started cleaning our bedroom. It took a little over two hours, but its done and it looks great! I cleaned out old clothes and drawers and got rid of things we just dont use/need and its so nice and decluttered in there. I didnt get to sleep until almost 12 though, and was up at 4:30 am. Lydia woke up then and I got her back to sleep but my mind was whirling and I couldnt go back to sleep myself. So I got up at 5:30 and took a shower and was off to Wallies by 6:30 to exchange a carseat I bought yesterday, and then off to the grocers to order the cake and food trays.  After that I came home, got Lydia dressed and went to Bristol to have my dad install her new car seat and then to Lowes to pick up some stuff to hang a shelf in her room.

She ate on the way home and then I got busy in her room. Wow talk about a difference. I hung the shelf Jeff made to go on top of the nursery cart and then took the nursery cart down. There is a ton more space in her room now and I will be moving a bunch of her toys back there today. This puts me a day ahead of my planned schedule of getting things done by Sunday. Tomorrow is my class so I can relax a little bit and not have to worry about rushing home to clean, which is nice in theory but I have a feeling I am just going to bust my ass the next two days until its all done by Friday. Then maybe I can have a day of rest on Saturday before everyone and my mother come over!

I'm a little aprehensive about the party to be honest. I'm not sure how Lydia is going to react with so many people in the house, most of which she never sees on a regular basis. Its going to be Tanya, Mike, Avery, Madison, Jen, Glenn, Kenzie, Matt, Becky, Joe, MIL, FIL, Mom, Alan, and possibly my dad and his wife, and possibly Matts girlfriend and son. Thats a lot of people in our tiny house! When I took her to see my dad today she flipped out and tried to meld herself into my body and refused to look at him, she just doesnt do strangers well. I guess we'll see.

Anyways, Lydia is napping so I am going to dive into her toys while I have the chance, otherwise it will never get done. I still need to go and drop off a bunch of clothes at the Salvation Army dumpster and pick up some sinus pills. I have a feeling I am going to crash hard tonight. Probably miss Heroes.
