This morning went well. Jeff got up with her and I hid in the shower. I could hear her say "Mama?" and Jeff told her that mama wasnt home. He showed her the bedroom where she kept saying "Mama?" and then took her out to the livingroom and I snuck back to the bedroom and shut the door. My heart twinged with every mama, but there were no tears. I came out about 45 minutes later and she was very happy to see me, but only mentioned the boobies once. She has been slightly clingy though, and every other word seems to be mama. Ahhhhh.
Yesterday it was warm, so after Lydia took her nap we took her to the park for about 20 minutes. We would have stayed longer but I had to pee :P. Then we went to WalMart to look for my book. They didnt have it. So we went to the mall and they didnt have it either. I asked a woman if they had it, in hopes I was over looking it. The book is Fragile Things by Neil Gaiman, though at the time I couldnt remember the name, just that it was a new collection of short stories by Gaiman and this is what I told her. She acted like I was nuts, because SHE was a Neil Gaiman connoisseur. She said "Are you sure you dont mean his one with Terry Pratchet, Good Omens?" I said "Yes, I own that book, this one is new, and its a collection of a short stories." She looks again and then drags me over to the Neil Gaiman section and pulls out Good Omens "I'm sure you mean this book" Ummmm, NO. I told her again "No, I OWN that book, and thats not a collection of short stories, is it?" So she goes back to her computer and says "Well, we'll put in Gaiman and short stories but I dont think we'll get anything". Whadaya know-Fragile Things popped up! And then it took her another 5 minutes of conferring with her partner that they didnt have it in and well wasnt that weird because they know ALL the Gaiman books, but they could order it for me. I told her "No thanks, I can order it online cheaper and have it just shipped to my house, so there's no point." and left. B&N is good if I want it asap, but I can save money over all using amazon if I'm willing to wait. So when we got home last night I ordered Fragile Things, Anansi Boys, and American Gods. I was just going to get two books, but I would have had to pay shipping, so I figured why not get a third book and free shipping?
Anyways. We watched Desperation last night and then went to bed. I woke up last night and I coughed a little bit so I grabbed my water and took a drink and layed back down to go back to sleep. Well, next thing I know Jeff sticks his arm across me and just hovers it there. I asked him what he was doing and he said "Huh?" and then moved his arm, mumbled and rolled over. Apparently he was still asleep. It was totally weird.
This afternoon we have a playdate with Tanya and the kids. I hope to get a nap in before then!
