Random Ramblings From A Drugged Up Mommy

Jan 05, 2007 09:23

Ok, I have an appointment at 2:30. Lydia is in fine spirits this morning so she is not going. Jeff is in spiffy spirits this morning so he is not going. Me, I am feeling like I have SARS so I AM going. I dont even want to think of the possibility of bronchitis-thanks Brooke :P-as I have been lucky enough not to have had it for about 5 years, when I used to get it once a year at least.

Anyways. Some musings. I must have looked like shit yesterday, as I didnt get carded for the wine I bought hahaha.

Why do some mothers flip their lids over sugar? Like I have seen so many times on LJ about Pedialite, and how OMGZ it has splenda in it now! But it was just a year ago every one was whining that OMGZ it has sugar in it. WTF do these people want? Some way to sweeten something that doesnt involve sugar or fake sugar? Keep dreaming. Juice-100% JUICE from an APPLE and OMGZ dont give that to your kids its teh poizenz! I am pretty sure a glass of juice here and there isnt going to give your kid diabetes.

Isnt it funny how at this age words get completely muddled? Lydia says "mee me's" for excuse me. This morning she was trying to walk around the table as I was walking to the couch and she held her hand out and said "mee me's mama" and sauntered on past me. I laughed till I coughed-not hard to do. I love hearing her talk and how she pronounces words. Cheese Sauce comes out chess suss, salsa is shalsa, and then there are things she tries to say that I am like ohhhh kay...lol. She does this weird little "henahedahena" that I have no idea what she is saying but she does it when she is playing. The moon is still "MY Moo-oon!" Lisa Loeb and Liz Mitchell do a song called "Catch the Moon" and whenver it comes on the jukebox Lydia gets excited and points to the computer and says "My Moo-oon!" Oh, and this morning when I brought her out to Jeff she said "bye bye boobies" :P Oh what a kid.

Does your wee one ever surprise you by knowing what something is but your not sure how they know? I bought Lydia a stuffed Dragon (named Salsa) and she knew immediatly that it was a dragon-saying "dagon, dagon". Maybe, since we are weirdo fantasy lovers, this is just something she picked up on? She also knows what a circle (sursill) is and clouds. Wow.

Ok....the cold meds are fuddling my head haha. I know I need to eat but I have no appetite. I managed to get down some yogurt this morning, but I am afraid thats going to be it for awhile. At least munchkin butt is in an ok mood. Oh and a big haha at all the spelling mistakes in my last post, and probably in this one.
