Happy Birthday To Me!
Today was a pretty good day for a birthday :) My dad had volunteered to watch Lyds, but since he couldnt do it here at my house it didnt happen, and thats ok, because I enjoyed spending the day with my two favorite people-Jeff and Lyds.
She slept till 12 last night, and then we only flipped twice, I think it was in honor of my birthday :D. But she was up at 6:30 and Jeff took her and even tried to let me sleep for awhile, using the bottle I had pumped this week. I got up two hours later anyways because I had my mommy sense on and it was tingling. No really, it was that she had only eaten enough to get to let down and then quit at 6:30 and my boob was so full it was about to explode two hours later LOL. So after her nap we got ready and went and saw my Dad and Cindy, she was asleep when we got there and freaked out when she woke up lol. She doesnt know what to make of my Dad. He puts off this vibe of "I am in control but I want to be your friend and loooovvvvveeee" you. Hes an ex Marine and a police detective now, its in his nature to ooze that vibe. She doesnt particularly like that vibe, as she is a very willfull baby and doesnt like others trying to exert thier will over her. My poor Dad :P He took lots of picture though, and I want him to send me some because a lot of them were really cute.
After my Dads we went to the Rythm and Roots Festival. It was ummm, very interesting. As soon as we walked in I saw a hippie chick swaying lazily with eyes fluttering to the music. If there had been more of her and less fat rednecks it would have been Floyd Fest-ish. But unfortunatly there were just more fat rednecks than one sane person could handle LOL. We did see some friends of ours there that we hadnt seen since before Lyds had been born, so that was nifty. We also saw one of Jeffs idiot coworkers there. Thumbs down on that one :P:P:P They had the Datil hot sauce booth there, so I was able to get some of my datil mustard and summer suace, yuuuummmmm. Sooooooo gooood. I am a spice whore. I know it :P.
After that we went out to eat and Lyds slept the entire time. She usually only does that at the Mexican resteraunt we love, but she was really tired. Our waitress's name was Beryl, I thought that was interesting as its not a name you here often. Then we got to go shopping!!! Yippie!!! I got a cute new outfit to wear tomorrow to our first Kindermusic class :D and I got Lydia her first pair of jeans. I cant wait to see her in them.
Gods this is so long lol. In other news we ran into some people with a seven month old little girl yesterday at the mall. She was very cute, sitting in a cart blowing spit bubbles. We started talking and they pushed the cart up so the girls could look at each other and I swear Lyds was sizing her up lol. There was a bit of chit chat between them, but mostly Lyds looking at her like "I could take you...." :| The girls father initiated conversation. I kinda felt like he was comparing them lol, and I saw the look of shock on his face when he found out Lyds was younger than his little girl even though she was bigger:P What can I say? I have a healthy titty baby :D:D:D
For my birthday I got a lovely silver triquerta with blue chalcedony earing and pendant set, a book on communing with faeries, a book on Baba Yagga (one of my favorite fairy tale charecters), a beautifuly illustrated book of fairy tales and Eldest. I also have another one coming, but I dont know what it is yet. :D
