Happy Chinese New Year 2012!
HAPPY LUNAR NEW YEAR!
Chinese New Year is my favouritest holiday of the year! Perfect excuse to get together with family and friends, and stuff ourselves full with all sorts of new year goodies (food!). I chose the photo above because the holiday starts with Reunion Dinner on the eve of CNY. Chinese New Year would not be complete without having a steamboat lunch / dinner at least once during the festivities (which lasts 15 days!).
This year, CNY will be a little bit quiet because my parents are going for a (well-deserved!) holiday. No parents at home = no relatives to come visit. But, I'll have friends coming over on Tuesday, so that'll be fun. And it's back to school+work on Wednesday, so there really isn't much time for R&R anyways.
Anyways, here's wishing everyone who celebrates the lunar new year a Prosperous Dragon Year! May this year be better than last year, and may the God of Fortune visit you in the coming year! :)
