when all is crumbling steady your hand

Hello world. Melissa is really really really damn happy her birthday is over. She is also really really really happy that she's finally 18 - past another milestone of her life. I just saw the door open to more freedom and more things that I can do legally - alcohol, party, cigarettes, movies. Though I won't do some, still it feels good knowing that you can do it and it's purely all based on choice that you're not doing it. Get it? :P

Anyway, I'll start with the thanks to everyone who messaged me, facebook-ed me, twitter-ed me, wished me irl and spent the day(s) with me.

Via text messages, (in chronological order)
Valerie - two minutes early, Theron, Shaun, Mawice, Debster, Jessticker, Jojo, Bee Ching, Sumoo, Kenneth, D Sen, Christopher, Jacky, Nian Qi, Keng Yang, Donovan, Su Jan, Rai, my sister, Tehaopelor, Naomi, Junny, Elizabeth, Diana (exactly 12AM on the dot on Oct 7th), Wifey (late, darling. XD)

I think I forgot to add some names here so inform me if I'd forgotten alright? :x

The people who posted on my facebook wall can be seen so I'm too lazy to write the names all down. The people who twittered me are Mawice and Nabihah. Thanks guys. People who wished me irl are the security guard at TKGS (LOL! The one that 'hates' Debster...), SBP, Theron, Evan, Jiahao & Emily.

Thanks for all the wishes. Especially those innovative long funny messages I received. They really made me smile so thank you. :3

Onto the narrations, starting with October 6th. I woke up to a mum's excited voice that my sister passed her driving test. I took a while to register that and all I can say is "Another chauffeur. Awesome!" Haha I'm kidding. Congratulations anyway. So she dragged me out of bed to go fetch her, accompany her make her new license, then headed over to TKGS to collect my Graduation Certificate.

I know it's been two years since I graduated. A bit late, yeah? Hey, but guess what. I'm not the only one who hasn't collected her certificate. Apparently, four of my classmates have yet to either. *laughs* Why didn't they tell me? I would have gladly went with them. :P Anyway, on my way out, since I exchanged my EZ-link card for a Visitor Pass, the security guard kindly sang me a birthday song as he handed the card over. Aww, how sweet. :3 It's the Chinese uncle, any TKGians remember him? :P

Then we went to Parkway Parade's Crystal Jade to have a little dim sum. Happy stomach. Saw some tai-tais and wow, aspire to be like them too. ):

Peanuts! \:D/

After Crystal Jade, my sister drove to her work. :P Her car's a bit slow... still it was pretty amusing and hey! I'm not dead yet. LOL. :D

After that, we went home and SBP surprised me with a cake. It was really sweet and hell, the carebears were damn cute. *squishes them* Thanks so much, guys! And thanks to Shaun for remembering that I like them. :3 Pictures with the cake are with Nian Qi and I don't have them at the moment.

Oh well, after cake, we took a bus to Tampines Mall to catch the Surrogates. The show is quite interesting. It sets you thinking: a life of superficiality but perfection or a life of truth but imperfection? Before you answer, take note: the truth can hurt sometimes and ignorance is bliss. I myself can't seem to answer the question actually. Imperfection and hurt or perfection and lies?

This is such a long post. Haha, I'll write about the rest another day, maybe later tonight or something. I'm going to catch a few winks. :D

family, friends, !life, birthday
