"Hit me with your best shot...fire away..."
Last night was a blast. I went shopping with Michelle on State Street...I bought a top and a necklace from Nordstrom, and spent a ton of money that I shouldn't have. The top I got is one of those ones that is high in the back, but in the front it plunges realllly low, like almost to your belly-button. The kind you can't wear a bra with because it would show, so I wore band-aids instead (ouch). Then it has this flouncy skirt-ish kind of trim around the bottom...and it's black...very pretty. I bought a long drop necklace to wear with it, since tops like that look best with long necklaces.
Then I went to Old Town Tavern, better known as O.T.T., with Justin, Nix, and L.T. (yes, April, your little friend, ha ha ha ha ha). I wore my new top and my new necklace and felt adorable, drank champagne as we pre-partied, and had a Long Island Ice Tea once we got there. It's a karaoke bar...a group of girls did "Hit Me With Your Best Shot" by Pat Benetar and I got waaaay too excited...it reminded me so much of the defensive line of our PHHS field hockey team! Megan, if you're reading this, remember how we used to always sing that and then we got yelled at by coaches / other players?
I only had a half a bottle of champagne and one Long Island Ice Tea, so I was barely buzzed...I was proud of myself that I stopped there and didn't try to dry out the bar. I'm doing better about not binge drinking all the time.
