Scent of the Day: Snowblind. Mmmm! Minty goodness!

3 Day training: 3 miles, easy pace, UGA North Campus and downtown.

I'm getting ready to sit down and write this, and Rob exclaims in a somewhat hurt and surprised tone "My legs hurt!"
"It's not my fault your legs hurt," I reply.
"Yes it is! It's your fault!"
"How is it my fault?"
"You said why don't you sign up for this thing, and I did, and now my legs hurt and it's your fault!"

I think he's going to be very upset with me in a month or two. ;)

It was really hot today. Our walk took us all over North Campus, including a stop at the Founders' Memorial Garden, where we were married. It really would have been lovely if it hadn't been so HOT. I suppose our tolerance will increase as the summer wears on - we've been really lucky with the weather so far, but it only goes up from here! (The temperature, that is.)

We spent the afternoon and evening cooking for the week. We've discovered that the last thing we want to do after working all day and walking in the evenings is cook dinner! But we certainly can't afford to eat out all the time, so we decided to cook ahead. Rob made a big 'ol pasta salad with lots of veggies. I made a batch of spicy pinto beans and turkey sausage that we rolled into burritos with some brown rice and cheese. DIY frozen burritos! Magical! I think we'll make this a habit. We also finished chopping the rest of the strawberries for the freezer... and some for the kickass shortcake I made for dessert tonight!
