Pictures from Clarendon Mardi Gras are now up-- I used a flash this year, which made for a whole lot less motion blur, but a whole lot more strange color issues and a lot of red eyes. No one seemed to mind the flash, though, possibly because no one could really see it going off amidst all the other bright and flashing lights. I'm amused that there are always several hook and ladder trucks in the parade.
My recommendation to anyone participating in the parade: please look like you're enjoying yourselves. Really, it's sort of disappointing to come back with one hundred and fifty pictures of you guys being really grumpy. Props to the Ballou Marching Band for the big grins and (understandably) being the most parade-ready group. I ♥ the tubas. Or sousaphones. Or whatever they were.
Anyway, click the picture for the gallery:
My one-year no-smoking anniversary is approaching. Contemplating a party. Maybe I'll torture everyone and make it a '90s theme party. So I can steal all of your Docs. Muahaha.
