Okay, so I was talking to
mailnosecret the other day, and it spawned this whole series of BEST x AKB48 girls drabbles and whatnot. Just finished two, so I'll be posting them now! There are a ton to come, so look forward to that :) I'm gonna try fitting them all into the same AU setting... Yes, they're ALL AU. I'll state if they're not in the same AU setting, yeah? :D
Title: You need someone older and wiser telling you what to do
Pairing: Hikaru/Tomochin (siblings)
Genre: Humor
Rating: G
Barely a few years out of high school, Hikaru was already becoming unfamilar with the jargon used by current high school girls, such as that being utilized by his younger sister right now as she headed out out of the door, bling bling cell phone nearly glued to her ear (at least that hasn't changed, he mused).
"Where are you going?" He stood up to ask, fulfilling the duty of overprotective onii-chan.
"Out," came the curt reply, before Tomomi went back to chattering in rapid fire High School Girl Talk.
"Where to?"
"Hang on for a mo," she said quickly, placing her cell on the top of the shoe cupboard for a moment as she pulled on her boots.
"Are you seeing someone?" He noted her flashy get-up.
Her eyebrow twitched at the question.
"None of your business."
"Tomomi, I deserve to know."
"And why is that so?"
"I'm older." Hikaru placed his hands on his hips and took on a more commanding pose.
"Yeah, and dumber," she snorted and darted out of the door before Hikaru could remotely process what she had just said.
Title: And you've got a smile that could light up this whole town.
Pairing: Hikaru/Sae
Genre: Romance, Fluff
Rating: G
It might have been extremely tiring to keep up with the hyperactively energetic girl in front of him, but on the other hand, it took away the need for him to converse with her, something he had never been good at since he was a kid.
"...That's why you should go out with her!" His younger sister had told him, before setting him up on this date with one of her seniors at her part-time job at a local cafe.
The brat might have been right, even going to the extent of getting him tickets to the amusement park where conversations were not needed. He strode up to his date, a girl by the name of Miyazawa Sae, whom he had very much mistaken for a guy the first time Tomomi showed him a photo of her in her waitress outfit, but turned up in a flared denim skirt and a tank top today much to his viewing pleasure. He was a young man, he liked pretty girls, and the girl in front of him was very pretty indeed. Very pretty, very fun to be with, but maybe just a little too energetic for him to handle.
"Ne ne, let's ride that!" She pointed excitedly at the ferris wheel when he reached her side. He barely had the time to nod before she ran towards the queue.
Their awkward silence was short lived as the queue shuffled along quickly and they were seated into their carriage and she squealed like a little kid as they ascended.
"...You're really easily excited," he commented, not knowing what else to say. She tore her eyes away from the view outside the window to look at him with her big, curious eyes.
"Don't you think this is fun?"
"I-It is..."
She broke into a wide grin that had a hint of girly shyness, tucking her short locks behind her ear as she answered, "The day has been fun. Even though Tomochin always says you're really boring and everything..."
His jaw slackened at the blatant comment.
"S-Sorry! I don't think so though! Hikaru-kun's fun to be with! You tell really good jokes and everything..."
Well, that's a first.
"I'm glad you had fun, though I didn't do much..."
She shook her head, shoulder length hair flying everywhere as she did so. The carriage ascended to the peak.
"You played all those booth games with me didn't you? Thank you."
He looked straight in her eye seriously for the first time; she blushed and turned away.
"What? I was being serious..."
"N-Nothing, sorry," he apologized and looked down at his lap.
"Ne, Hikaru-kun, you should talk more about yourself."
"Me? I'm not interesting..."
"Yes you are. You work in a music store, don't you?"
"Yeah, I like Western rock music so..."
"Which bands? I might know some--Oh! Do you play anything?"
The same bombardment of words that he had been receiving the whole day. He chuckled at her enthusiasm.
"My favourite band is Red Hot Chilli Peppers, and I play the bass."
"Sugoii~" She whistled. "I'd love to hear you play someday."
"M-My band has a upcoming show at a live house. We're hoping to catch the eye of the producer going--"
"I'm definitely going! Can I go see you backstage?"
"Y-Yeah, why not?"
"That's great," She smiled shyly. "I want to spend more time with you, if you don't mind that is..."
"Not at all..."
"Yay!"
She grinned, and he felt his cheeks warming up, as if the warm sunshine was falling directly on his skin.
On their way to the cafe to have a quick snack, he sucked in a deep breath and sneaked his fingers between hers, only letting go of that breath when he felt her leaning in closer, squeezing his fingers lightly.
(A/N: Hello, biases, what else can I do but ship you.)
