Q: How are you planning to use your New Year’s money this year?
A: I had wanted goods to be used in survival games (T/N: this guy is OBSESSED), but I got them for my birthday, so I’m already satisfied. Talking about survival games, I heard from Nakamaru-kun that “Takki and Tsubasa might be joining the battle…”. But after hearing it quite a lot, it seems that they won’t be on the same team, and would be the rival team! Eh~ The courage to attack Takki & Tsubasa… I have it yo (laughs)! (T/N: YOU BRAT, RESPECT YOUR SENIORS) Iya, that’s in the world of the game! In any case, my team moves about a lot, so please be prepared (laughs).
Q: What’s your method of studying for tests?
A: I use a classical method like playing close attention to the important lines. When studying for exams, becoming friends with the smart kids would probably have an effect too (laughs).
Q: If you had an overseas performance…?
A: I want to go to Korea first, I guess. The place is close, townscapes seem similar [to Japan] as well. I’ve watched Korean TV shows and I support them enthusiastically. Being supported like that, I guess the atmosphere will become really hyper. I have a Korean friend, maybe I’ll ask him to bring me to Korea for a private trip first... (T/N: I guess he means that if JUMP were to be supported like how people support Korean stuff enthusiastically, it'll be cool but, er, really, I don't quite get his phrasing either >.>;; Help? And in any case, Hikaru, I am dumping you for Yuya the moment you start sprouting Korean.)
Q: What are the stage costumes you like?
A: During our junior days, there were many times when Yabu and I wore KinKi Kids’ clothes. On the collar of the costumes, the name of the owner was written. That’s why I was really happy, going like “Uwaaa~ This is Tsuyoshi-kun’s!”. As for JUMP’s costumes, I like the suits-styled, sparkly, red sequined one that has a black tie (T/N: The one that BEST wore during 2009-2010 fuyucon, a bit during 2010 harucon and once on SC, I think, when they did BEST medley (Back In Time, Stompin' and Su.Ri.Ru :)) ). I feel like I become a celebrity [in that costume], somehow that feeling’s really good (laughs).
Q: If you were to do a fan meeting session…?
A: Normally we have a lot of sessions like during concert MCs. During filming for YY JUMPing, Yabu and I do commentaries before and after the recording, and during that time we talk to the fans quite a lot. “Please get a haircut~”, words like that come flying at us, and then we’ll go like “Okay, those who think that I should get a haircut…” and do a questionnaire like that. That time spent is quite fun, so I want to try doing more fan meeting sessions!
Q: A JUMP song that you would recommend to go high on at karaoke?
A: “Your seed”, from “UMP”. I think this would hype up the atmosphere yo. But up till now I am still lost as to what kind of mood/energy/tension I should sing the rap part in “UMP” (laughs).
Q: If you were to do a monomane (imitation) of a certain member's (actions) that is so subtle that no one notices it...?
A: The Ryutaro who would stare fixedly at me with a subtle expression like he hasn’t had enough of talking about a topic when we drop that topic during a talk session.
