That’s what I’m doing tonight. Staying up all night to re-regulate my sleep cycles and being peaceful. The rain and the fact that it’s actually getting warmer overnight insist upon it. I’m currently learning (almost done learning, working on actually playing correctly) Regina Spektor’s Someday’s, because that’s kind of just how tonight feels.

And a note about the Star Ocean games, well...they all have bad voice acting -_-;;.

Anywho... you should check out the "Henry Hatsworth" puzzle game. It's part platformer and part puzzle game. Very intriguing stuff.

But no you guys. This isn't, "Oh, we were on a budget so we couldn't afford very good voice actors" bad, or "Put next to Hironobu Sakaguchi's stuff, all other voice acting looks bad", or "The script was a little weak" bad, this is "No one knows what the hell is going on, the character's can't pronounce there own games, not only is the inflection and emotion poor, it's in all the wrong places, the rejects from an episode from Dora the Explorer could have done better than this" bad.
I'm used to playing RPGs with weak spots in the art and development department. I'm wondering if this isn't a case of, "Our game is so good in other areas and everyone knows our franchise that when it game down to something we thought was insignificant because the script was otherwise okay we DIDN'T EVEN TRY."
It's baaaaaaaad. It's 'How are you gentleman all your base are belong to us' bad'.

I will check out that game.

Anyways, Star Ocean 2 had pretty nasty voice acting. I'm a huge supporter of NOT having voice acting in RPGs, but Final Fantasy X had to come out and fuck that shit up for all the other RPGs, and now we have to suffer.
I really wish games would just leave a Japanese voice track on, it used to be all the rage on the PS2 with a lot of those "Japanese/Samurai/Ninja" setting games like Onimusha, Ninja Gaiden, Samurai Warriors, etc. and I really liked that. It "enhanced" the experience and you could READ what they were saying in English via subtitles or whatever. I wouldn't mind Japanese language tracks in an RPG considering you read most of that dialogue too.
