Today I planned on going to the post office to get stamps, going home and doing laundry, and going out shopping for tour stuff with Chris and Nik, even though Nik isn't coming anymore.
Well.
I woke up around eleven and it was snowing like no tomorrow, or more like there would be no tomorrow if it were to keep snowing as such. On top of this, I was feeling a little lazy, so I decided to bum around for a while and catch a bus at 1:10, to give myself some time and to see if the snow would slow (but I would go out even if it didn't; I had to get stamps and this is the last weekday before I leave). Well, I bummed around a little too long and put off feeding the cat and putting on makeup until the last minute, so I ended up forgetting my keys. It's not really a big deal, normally, but today it meant I had to bum around downtown until Chris got off of work so that he could let me back in, which meant laundry was not getting done today.
I cut my losses and ran for the bus, which I thought for sure I was going to miss, but I made it, and went to the post office to get 60 Edgar Allan Poe stamps (awesome, I know, I've been meaning to get them for a while). With nothing better to do and plans to meet him later in the day anyway, I invited Nik to meet me at the library since it is both warm and free and I am locked out of my building.
So here I sit at the library, my tummy full of omelet sandwich and lemon soda, waiting for Nik and hoping Amber and Jules and Chelly don't mind that I'm doing laundry while they visit tomorrow. On the plus side, the library is selling those backpack style tote bags for four dollars, and they're black and emblazoned with the Carnegie Library logo in lime green. So I'll have one of those for the road. :D
Other than that, these past few days have been really mellow. I slept from six in the afternoon until eleven in the morning on Wednesday/Thursday, so I'm at least well-rested, if slightly under the weather with some seriously congested sinuses.
So I guess I'll wrap this up by saying if you haven't gotten your address to me yet and you want me to send postcards to you, please
email it to me ASAP. If you simply want to keep track of me, there are links to my Facebook, Myspace, and calendar on my
Livejournal links list (for the Facebook users). Or you can just follow the tour on the
Douglas Myspace page.
And that's all for me. You probably won't hear from me again until I'm on the road, unless something truly amazing happens between then and now. :D. Love you all. Keep in touch.
