So, Firefox 3 has not been working well for me since it's last update. I'm using Opera right now, but I can't figure out how to make it my default browser. It's not in the preferences. Does anyone else use Opera, or know anything about it? I like the fact that much more of my screen is actually webpage now and not so much a bunch of tool bars I would never use. It kind of reminds me of old Netscape, before Netscape was a total scam (keep in mind, I've had a computer since 1992). I do like it. I'm just not looking forward to switching all of my bookmarks over.
In other news, I've had this headache that began about the time I was falling asleep last night. I thought I was getting tired, and I was getting this pressure behind my left eye, but I went to lay down and it took me more than an hour to get to bed. When I woke up, it was about ten, and I still had this feeling behind my eye. But it had started to rain, so I took the fans out of the windows, and layed back down. I woke up at noon and my head hurt so bad I couldn't even get out of bed. I laid there for three hours before I finally got up. My Excedrin finally kicked in about four, and since then, I think my brain has been functioning at about 50%. The pain is gone, but the migraine is still there, and it feels like someone needs to change my brain filters. I've decided I've got a brain tumor behind my left eye, so I named it Chuck. XD
I've also decided that the first thing I'm going to do when my dad's insurance plan begins to cover me in September is find a doctor and finally DO something about these migraines. I've been getting them since I was twelve, maybe younger, and ever since then, they've just been getting worse and worse. Sometimes they're so bad I can't even lay in bed next to Chris because his BREATHING is too loud. I literally have to lay on the couch with an ice pack on my face so I can fall asleep. They're horrible, and half of the time I would have to overdose myself on over-the-counter stuff to even control them. They are made of lose. I'm just worried, though, because a friend of mine used to take Imetrex because she had severe but infrequent migraines and once at school I had a migraine so bad I had literally torn out a chunck of my own hair to distract myself from the pain, so she gave me half of one. It was the worst feeling I have ever experienced. It didn't get rid of my headache so much as it just moved it to my neck. Ugh. It was both painful and weird.
In other news, reading the WebMD article about migraines is neither helpful nor comforting.
