Writing is work/fun. It helps if you have an idea of: a. what the story's about (or who it's about),b. what you want to say with it, c. and how you want it to end. Think of the stories that mean something to you, and then take a look at them to see how they're constructed.

Yeah, I used to write a lot more; I'd churn out chapters by the day.

Though I always tried to not figure out my ending until I actually got to that point; it made things much more exciting.

I've just hit a spot where all of my ideas are good but dead ends or are not so good but I could go on with forever. Go figure.
